The latest victim, Hanitriniaina Deborah, Miss Analamanga 2023, succumbed this Thursday morning, illustrating that the threat persists, even for those who initially survived the mass poisoning. Her death, which occurred after readmission to the hospital, raises profound concerns about the long-term care of the victims, particularly given the aftereffects that appear to worsen over time.
